Get back at the jerk kicking your seat

Regal Theaters is rolling out a new device in their theaters. I can't wait to see this thing in action.

Is the guy behind you talking on his phone? Are those girls in front of you throwing popcorn at their friends? Is the sound out? No problem. Just call the manager using the "Guest Response System" and they will come in a jiffy.

I guess when you have 28 theaters to manage concurrently, you need to enlist a little vigilante corps. Sign me up! Just let that couple in front of me start making out. I'm all over that!

(post production note- leaving my laptop power cable behind at work, I ended up finishing this episode in GarageBand, which I had never done before! All my pre-recorded material was on my laptop, I had trouble getting it to mp3... it was a disaster that took longer to edit than most episodes I'd done previously. The best laid plans...)

When did you last backup your work?

I'm in the midst of moving my files from my old PC to my new Mac, as well as cleaning off the meager hard drive of the laptop I use for work and recording. It got me thinking of the consequences of not having a good backup.

For those of you who think it could never happen to you, go over and ask the folks at Business 2.0 magazine. They'll tell you it can happen to anyone at any time. They know, having recently lost an entire issue of their magazine prior to printing.
